Free Agents are players who are new to the league or are looking for a new team. You may register as a free agent for free. Once you are added to a team, you will be invoiced for your player fee.
Divisions & Skill Levels
If you know the division you'd like to play in, register as a free agent. To give you the best chance to find a team, include as much information about your experience, positions, etc in the About Me section of your profile. Only team managers will be able to see this information and connect with you.
Which division should I register for?
Attend the NEW players clinic and the members will assist you in determining the division that would best suit your skill set. If you have further questions please Contact Us and a league representative will assist you further.
Changing Divisions
If you want to move your Free Agent profile to another division after you registered, please email us so we can do that for you. Example: You registered for Open C but found out you would be better suited for Open D.
MANDATORY New Players Evaluations for Spring 2025 -- With the upcoming IPS ratings question changes, SFGSL is requiring all players (new and retuning) to attend a ratings evaluation. Our goal is to ensure all players are in the right divisions. We ask that everyone make it to one of these evaluations.
Optional New Players Skills Clinics for Spring 2025 -- These clinics are not for the purpose of evaluating skills and placing in divisions. These are geared towards providing hands on learning experiences for players of all abilities. We will have members of the league volunteering to teach fundamentals of fielding and throwing. All are welcome to join.
