The San Francisco Gay Softball League (SFGSL) is made up of 7 divisions across 2 leagues. You will see us reference "Open" and "Women's+" frequently throughout our site and in communications, but what does this mean? Open refers to our league that is available to any person. Women's+ refers to our league that follows in the footsteps of ASANA (Amateur Sports Alliance of North America) providing an inclusive space for LGBTQ+ cis women, trans men, trans women, and non binary people in organized amateur athletics. Anyone joining the SFGSL must be 18 years of age by the first day of season to be eligible to play. All members of the Women's+ league are eligible to be Dual Members and play in both leagues. Not all members of the Open league may qualify to play in the Women's+ league.
Spring Season Fees
| Team Fee | $600 | Per Team. The Manager will be invoiced for this fee in addition to their player fee. Teams may self-sponsor or have a sponsor cover this fee. If your team does not have a sponsor and would like assistance with acquiring one, email our Development Director Dawn Dzurilla at sponsorhip@sfgsl.org. We cannot guarantee that a sponsor will be made available to you, though Dawn may be able to get you in contact with sponsor opportunities. |

| Player Fee | $100 | Per Player; 10 Players Minimum per team. |
| Free Agent Fee | $0 | Intended for new members or past members looking for a new team. Player fee will be invoiced once added to a team. Learn more about Free Agents |
| Associate Fee | $55 | Intended for non-players. Associates may be on a team roster or separate of a team roster. Players do not count towards roster cap size. Intended for associate members who want to be in the dugout such as non-playing managers and score keepers or for non-players who want membership and voting rights within the league. | Dual Member Fee | $40 | Players (Women’s+ and Open Divisions): Members participating in both the Women’s+ and Open Divisions are eligible for a dual-player discount. A single discount code, DUAL2026, will be used for all dual registrations. Players should register with their primary team first. The discount code DUAL2026 should be applied during registration for the secondary team. If a player registers out of order or requires a retroactive adjustment, please contact secretary@sfgsl.org and treasurer@sfgsl.org for a backend correction. Players who apply the dual-player discount without completing registration in both divisions will receive a corrected invoice reflecting the full player fee. |
| Limited Player Fee | $45 | For members who will play in the Women's+ division with the understanding they can only play a maximum of 5 games during the season. Members who exceed 5 games during the season will be sent a corrected invoice for the full player fee. Use discount codes LIMITED2026W+D or LIMITED2026W+BC respectively for Women's+ D or Women's+ BC during the registration process. |
