National Softball Associations
SFGSL proudly connects our local softball community with inclusive competition across North America.
International Pride Softball (IPS)
International Pride Softball, formerly known as the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA), was founded in 1977. The nonprofit organization creates opportunities for LGBTQIA2S+ athletes and allies to participate in safe, welcoming, and competitive softball.
Member associations from the United States and Canada compete throughout the year, with qualifying teams gathering annually for the Gay Softball World Series.
Amateur Sports Alliance of North America (ASANA)
Founded in 2007, ASANA is a nonprofit organization that promotes participation in organized amateur athletics for LGBTQ+ cis women, trans men, trans women, and non-binary people.
ASANA member leagues compete in an annual Softball World Series featuring B, C, D, and E divisions, providing meaningful competition for a range of experience and skill levels.
Which guidelines apply? SFGSL Open Division teams follow IPS guidelines. SFGSL Women’s+ Division teams follow ASANA guidelines.
